• Check the profile: work photos, reviews and which badges they hold. Tap a badge to see what it means.
• Agree the price, materials and timeline before work starts. Ask for a written quote through the site for bigger jobs.
• For large jobs, avoid paying everything upfront. Pay for materials against receipts, and the balance when the work is done.
• Meet in a safe place, or have someone with you for home visits.
• Never share bank PINs or mobile money PINs with anyone.
